Chinese Traditional Medicine

Qi Gong, are form practices, that have been created to make the body 'open up' its known meridians, which are energy channels throughout the body, required for correct working of many autonomous systems. Additionally Qi Gong stretches the muscles and opens the joints. This is beneficial to people having pains in certain areas of the body, that can be chronal or suddenly emerge.

This knowledge that built the Qi Gong forms, comes from thousands of years of research by Taoist and Buddhist scholars and monks into how all things are connected. From the filosophical knowledge that thrives the Chinese (but not solely them anymore) people, came the Chinese Traditional Medicine in form of the Nei Jing (considered to be the first written Medical Knowledge and the basis for all holistic medical directions).

As time progressed, the many different directions that came from the Nei Jing, were integrated into many other parts of Chinese life. Martial Arts was one of those and as Buddhism came to China bringing Yoga, bodily movement whether for leasure or battle was easily incorporated (Cultural changes from Dynasty to Dynasty also had their part) and to say where one or other movement was originated will be impossible with out a time travel machine.

However, in the Nei Jing, many directions explain how certain Qi Gong movements could have been created to benefit the body. Therefore I find it not to hard to accept that these two are eachother spouse.
